Mudhole recreation plan eyed for EDA funds

Flags Stolen From Madison Place Fire Department Property

The Madison Place Fire Department reports the theft of two of 28 flags used on Plainville Road for holidays. The items vanished June 14 and July 4. The department cannot replace them and asks for their return to the Murray Road fire house.

Fairfax Swim Club Sets Four Records in July Meet

The Fairfax Swim Club defeated Reading Aquatics Club 290 to 282 as four swimmers set records. Kim Long swam 50 meter butterfly in 35.6, Mark Ferrara 50 meter breaststroke in 36.4, Bill Dance 100 meter individual medley in 1 16.5, and Theresa Maness 25 meter backstroke in 20.0.
