Mariemont council weighs annexation and zoning questions

Mariemont officials heard from Don Olinger of Villagers for the Preservation of Mariemont urging thorough research before annexing the Mt. Vernon site for a 194 unit condo project. The planning panel will study access, unit size, and Planned Unit Development status while a February decision nears.

Hyde Park Mudhole Bid Awarded To Jones Construction

The Hyde Park Mudhole project on Erie Ave went to Jones Construction Co of Cincinnati for 134900. Work begins Nov 30 to develop a recreation area with the western edge delayed for play equipment until funds are available, stated Carl Uebelacker of the Hyde Park Residents Association.

Hamilton County Commission backs restudy of traffic in southeast

The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners will reexamine transportation plans in the eastern Cincinnati area and likely approve a restudy of traffic problems. A highway corridor linking Columbia Parkway to I-275 remains under consideration, while relocation of U S Route 50 is dropped for now.
