The proposal seeks to rezone from R 4 to R 3 on Michigan and Shaw Avenues north of Griffit with 60 percent of property owners backing the change. R 3 is a two family district requiring 5000 square foot lots for single family and 8000 square foot lots for two family. Kilgour School Mt Lookout unveiled vibrant murals in the cafeteria after a parent committee redesigned the space. The murals feature subjects from language arts to science with Cincinnati symbols and a Kilgour carnival motif, funded by the 1976 carnival.
Mariemont council hears there is no clear authority for donations to a non municipal project and a state auditor may rule such gifts illegal. The village of Mariemont will need a new solicitor as Donald Fisher resigns September 1 after over 20 years in the post. Council member District Five rep Jerry Shelton resigns August 1 after moving outside the village. a replacement is being sought by the Mariemont Town Meeting.
