Public Hearing on Hyde Park Zoning Change Requested

Cincinnati Planning Commission staff will hold a public hearing at 10 a m on Monday Aug 7 in City Hall Committee Room A third floor Plum Street side. The proposal seeks to rezone from R 4 to R 3 on Michigan and Shaw Avenues north of Griffit with 60 percent of property owners backing the change. R 3 is a two family district requiring 5000 square foot lots for single family and 8000 square foot lots for two family. The hearing aims to assess impact on community welfare and inform staff recommendation to the planning commission and city council. Information available by calling 352 3475.

Kilgour School Murals Brighten Cafeteria Walls

Kilgour School Mt Lookout unveiled vibrant murals in the cafeteria after a parent committee redesigned the space. The murals feature subjects from language arts to science with Cincinnati symbols and a Kilgour carnival motif, funded by the 1976 carnival.

Oakley beautification boosted by local donations

Oakley Chamber president Ron Jackson of Jackson Richey and Company announced more than 5000 dollars was donated in July for the Oakley beautification project. Forty five Littleleaf Linden trees are being planted along Oakley Square by Joe Simonop ing as part of the effort.
