Death of Blanche Hundley at seventeen months
Blanche Hundley of West Durham died at her home Saturday morning at 6 o'clock. The infant was taken to the county above Chapel Hill for interment. The Durham Superior Court adjourned after civil cases, including E E Chappell vs North Carolina Railroad with a verdict for the plaintiff at $2 050 damages. Judge Allen ruled in Manning and Mann that two users may not be charged extra for one phone. Mrs Matthews won against Metropolitan Life for $500. Dr Alfred Moment, Raleigh pastor, died of typhoid fever aged about 55. funeral planned at First Presbyterian Church Raleigh.

City Aldermen Pass Pool Hall Regulation Ordinance
A regular meeting of the city aldermen last Monday enacted a pool and billiards ordinance forbidding under 18 loitering spectators and prohibiting obstructed views with frosted or stained glass. The keeper faces a five dollar fine. L F Williams elected policeman to fill Crockett’s vacancy. Minor matters on sidewalks and street improvements were approved before adjournment.

Death of Claud Beck at 30 in Pettigrew Street home
Claud Beck aged 30 died last night at 11 oclock from consumption at his parents home on Pettigrew street. He was a son of Mr and Mrs A C Beck and left four sisters and two brothers. Burial will be at Creedmoor Wednesday from the residence with Rev Autry of Branson Methodist church conducting.
