Hamlet Sent to Jury in Fatal Shooting Case

Charles Hamlet, on bond since the shooting of a negro, is sent to the grand jury for a preliminary hearing. Bill Walker of Golden Belt Manufacturing was arraigned before the mayor Monday. bond reduced from 500 to 100 after facts were heard. The incident occurred at night while Hamlet was on duty as night watchman. Walker allegedly refused to halt, was shot, and taken to Lincoln hospital. The case proceeds toward superior court.
