Assaulted Officer With a Bottle in City Hall War
Walter Cleveland colored appeared in police court on a charge of assaulting Policeman Chandler with a bottle at the colored dancing hall opposite the city market on Tuesday night. Cleveland was sent to the grand jury under bond of 50 dollars. He is jailed awaiting action. John Holloway white was sent to the grand jury for selling whiskey without a license. Fred and Frank Howard were charged with engaging in a fight.

Seaboard Excursion Tickets On Sale for James Town Exposition
Beginning Monday November 4 the Seaboard Air Line will sell coach excursion tickets on Mondays in addition to Tuesdays and Fridays from Raleigh Durham Oxford and East to Norfolk for the James town Exposition Tickets are valid seven days from sale and not valid in Pullman sleeping or Parlor cars.
