Man Dies After Drinking Corn Whiskey In Hay Wagon
James Redmond of Durham dies six miles west of the city after consuming two pints of corn whiskey in a hay wagon. Jasper Mayes, a 16 year old witness, describes Redmond entering a fit and dying within an hour. Remains brought to Durham for interment. Redmond was the eldest son of W. T. Redmond.
