Deaths Reported From Diphtheria and County Home
William Shaw Blanchard infant son of John L and Julia Shaw Blanchard died last Friday morning from diphtheria. Miss Fannie Franklin an inmate of the county home died last week from consumption at age 38. She left life insurance of 118 dollars used for funeral expenses. body laid to rest at Maplewood. The Durham Saturday Post, a new weekly, publishes eight pages with current literature. Mrs W R Herndon and daughter Mary left Friday for Tarboro for a visit. W S Bryant traveled to Hillsboro for Orange County superior court which opened Monday.
