Albuquerque Aug. 30 Solomon Luna banker and sheep grower, longtime Republican national committeeman for New Mexico, was found dead in a dipping vat at his sheep ranch near Magdalena. Indications show no foul play. Luna was among New Mexico’s prominent citizens with vast estates and wealth.
The Cheatham residence known as the Holder place is available for sale for 1000 dollars. L. F. Vaughn is noted in connection with the listing.
A local option vote in Duncan Arizona passed 94 to 43 with strong antis support as ranchers in the Gila Valley faced drought. The Franklin area was excluded at the request of whiskey interests, shifting votes away from Sheldon and lowering prohibition strength for the next general election.
