Prof P E Bridgeman of Hartford physics reports creating hot ice in Cambridge Massachusetts with a temperature of 173 Fahrenheit by applying pressures over 20000 atmospheres. He believes even hotter ice is possible. The ice resembles ordinary ice in appearance.
George A. Olney was elected by the boards of the Phoenix National Bank and the Phoenix Savings Bank and Trust Company to fill the vacancy. A pioneer Arizona businessman, he has operated in the upper Gila river valley for 31 years and moved to Phoenix last June after early work in Safford and Solomonville.
An old advertisement promotes Hall's Catarrh Cure offering one hundred dollars for an incurable case, with endorsements from F. J. Cheney & Co and National Bank of Commerce Toledo affirming his integrity. The remedy is described as internal with 75 cent bottles, plus Hall's Family Pills for constipation.

County Attorney Crosby filed information in the Superior Court charging ten individuals including Dr. J N Stacy and A C G Alexander with illegally selling liquor. Bonds ranged from 200 to 500 dollars, with defendants given until 2:00 pm to plead. The case follows a six week investigation by Los Angeles detectives J H Lee and F M Dowden.
San Simon Aug 27 The local commercial club reports 1146 raised to advertise San Simon and Cochise County over the next year. The figure doubles any prior annual ad spend and will grow as more subscriptions arrive.
