The American Legion District Nine will hold its next meeting on June 14 at Fort Duchesne Post 126. James Milligan of Roosevelt begins as district commander. No May meeting is planned. The Utah Department Convention runs June 3–5 in Ogden at the Ramada Inn headquarters.
Republican mass meetings will be held Monday May 23 at 7 30 p m in designated places to elect precinct officers and choose delegates to the county nominating convention. The Duchesne Precinct Democrat Mass Meeting is scheduled for Monday May 23 at 7 30 p m at the courthouse. John P Madsen precinct secretary announced the event to elect precinct officers and to choose delegates to the county convention.
A 4-H leaders training school is scheduled to be held in Roosevelt Friday June 3. Mrs. Mary C Boender Extension Home Economist for Duchesne County urges 4-H club leaders to reserve this time for help needed in the 4-H program.
Dennis Reed Neela and Patsy Rae Redmond Bridgeland applied for a license on May 3. Melvin Richard Zufelt and Myra J Gooden Duchesne applied on May 10.
