Snow survey at Indian Canyon reports April 1 readings

Dale Ross of the Soil Conservation Service and Ralph Giles of the Duchesne Ranger District surveyed Indian Canyon. April 1 1966 snow depth 41.1 inches with 13.1 inches water, compared with 1965 60.0 inches and 19.2 inches, 1964 32.6 inches and 7.3 inches, 1963 25.5 inches and 7.6 inches. 15 year April 1 average 13.1 inches. Rainage rose 1.24 inches from Feb 28 to Mar 28 1966.

Tabiona began a cleanup campaign with street outside work and fires controlled by a fire engine. The D U P ladies held an evening at Mrs Jennie Jones home. A wide list of Tabiona residents attended school events, family visits, church activities, and moves into Tabiona with new residents and hospital updates.

Mothers Club to Meet Thursday in Duchesne

The Duchesne Mothers Club will meet on Thursday March 31 at 8 p.m. at Mrs Prentiss Gleave’s home. Mrs Douglas Horrocks will co host the meeting which will show the film Sense in the Sun on skin cancer prevention and hold a business session.
