Myton Wins Third Game by Default in Series

Myton nine remains undefeated in the Mutual Teague as Bennett team fails to appear for the third game in Myton. The next game is in Bryton at Leota on the 23rd. A Myton delegation then traveled to Mt. Emmons where Myton fell 7-10. A return game with Arcadia may be arranged in Myton this Sunday. Mt. Emmons will also play their return in Myton on the 8th.

Big Decrease in Tax Valuation in Duchesne County

County Assessor C. W. Smith reports 1931 tax valuations for Duchesne Myton and Roosevelt show a large drop from 1930. Grand total for Duchesne County falls from 5,207,004 to 4,877,088 with a decrease of 329,916. Assessed by county 4,085,007 and by state 192,081. There are 1131 cars in the county valued at 120,591.00.

Winners In $50,000 Camel Contest

James Thomas Sharkey of Dorchester Massachusetts won the $25,000 first prize in the nationwide $50,000 contest promoting the new measure proof cellophane wrapper on Camel cigarette packages. Second prize went to Mrs Walter Sweet with $10,000. third to Julius M Nolte of Duluth Minnesota with $5,000. Thirty eight prizes were awarded overall including five at $1,000 and twenty five at $100.

A recommended mix of 76 parts iodized salt to 25 parts steam bone meal addresses chewing problems in dairy cows and cattle.
