Washington AP War Food Administrator Mervin Jones will tell the Senate Banking Committee that a milk production crisis could force rationing of evaporated milk and raise prices for butter cheese and canned milk. He will propose possible winter subsidies ranging up to 1600 million, with dealer quotas already started in urban areas. Authorities warn current prices do not cover winter costs and outline two subsidy forms: higher dealer payments or reduced feed prices via government sale to dairymen.
