Muleback Hospitals Aid Chinese Frontline Troops
Primitive hospitals on muleback provide mobile care for Chinese soldiers near frontline areas. Equipment for dressings, surgeries, and medical aid is supplied by United China Relief via the National War Fund, though staff face critical shortages and improvise with improvised tools and bamboo furniture. Dr. Lim notes the medical effort spans villages and temples across a 160 mile defense zone, boosting survivals from disease despite limited trained personnel.
