CHICAGO AP An Alabama ex convict named James Stanberry, paroled in 1949 after a seven year sentence for grand larceny, is held on charges of stealing jewelry valued at $2,500 from five Loop stores. A two inch skin fragment found at one burglary matched a scar on his right palm, leading to his arrest after detectives spotted him loitering near a doorway. Stanberry admitted the burglaries after investigators presented the skin evidence.
