Luncheon Honors Mr Stringfellow on Forty Third Birthday
Mrs. Jesse Stringfellow hosted a Sunday luncheon at the Stringfellow home on route two to celebrate her husband’s forty third birthday. A long shade table served a picnic lunch and a cake marked forty three candies with guests including many local families and friends. Betty Malone departed for Tuscaloosa to join the Wesley Foundation at the University of Alabama as assistant director.

Huntingdon College prepares for a large opening enroll ment on September 18 with freshmen testing September 19 through 22 and registration spread across September 22 to 25. Senator J Frank S. Heflin will deliver the opening address at 10 a m in Huntingdon chapel. Orientation activities include dormitory tours, student government and association events, and an annual retreat at Camp Grandview to set the year’s program.
