Do than county deputies report John Lloyd Livingston of Dothan is jailed on carnal knowledge charges while they seek Leon Edward Ryals of Apopka Florida on a federal abetting delinquency charge. Two girls aged eighteen and thirteen told officers they traveled from Apopka to Dothan with Ryals and Livingston, later found at a Dothan boarding house after a hitchhiking trip. The trio reportedly stopped in Adel Georgia and the thirteen-year-old girl and Ryals were married on August 20, with Ryals believed already married. They arrived in Dothan on August 27 as investigators pursued the case.
