A December referendum will decide if a peanut marketing quota is set for 1948 and if a government price supports 90 percent of parity will apply. Tex Ritter Thrown For Loss In Dothan

Tex Ritter, noted as a conqueror of a celluloid villain, was thrown for a slight loss in Dothan today while a station wagon, driven without reins by his driver, attempted a turn at Main and Foster streets. Officer S. C. Lane assisted, with no gunplay involved.

Mrs. C. F. Partin Dies at Graceville Florida

Mrs. C. F. Partin aged sixty five died at her Graceville Florida home after a short illness. Funeral services were held at the residence with Rev. Daniela officiating. Burial followed in Graceville Cemetery Ward Wilson Funeral Home in charge. She was a Graceville Methodist Church member and had lived there 40 years. Accident Injures Cars on Oates Street Hill Run

A parked car owned by F. J. Seif of Gadsden rolled backward down N Oates street and hit another parked car belonging to Fred J. Harris of Dothan. The Harris car suffered a minor left rear fender dent. A bystander driver looking at the damage rear-ended the car in front. Officers found only the bystander damaged his own vehicle and let him go without charges.

J D Griffin of 205 North Park avenue announced today the purchase of Arthur s Restaurant on East Malin street from Arthur Pappas. The name will become Griffin s with minor operating policy revisions. Griffin, Abbeville native, has lived in Dothan about 30 years and owns Dothan Floral Company, formerly ran City Cafe 1940 to 1945.
