Wheel Lost From Senior High Parade Float

The wheel from the spinning wheel on the Senior High School float in the Confederate Veterans parade disappeared today. Mrs. Heard requests contact if found, as the wheel belongs to Mrs. Ernest Ford of Bell Street and was last seen along Main Street during the parade.

Flags must be returned this afternoon after reunion

All persons who borrowed flags for decorating the reunion are urged to return them this afternoon. Return to T. J. Whatley at the Walk Over Boot Shop or to Fred Stewart in the rear of the city auditorium. Stewart owns the flags and plans to leave tonight. Whatley says the committee members will pay 90 cents per flag if not returned.

Do city building permits exceed fifty thousand dollars so far this month with a strong chance of a record total as the Eagle’s new home leads at 427000 and other projects range from 25 to 7000. Fourteen permits issued mainly for residences with two new homes listed at 6000 each. Officials attribute the surge to rushing projects before winter weather.
