Vanderbilt and Kentucky grid clash looms after punt returner Phelps
In Atlanta, Dan Dopey Phelps of Kentucky threatens Vanderbilt’s famed kicking game as UK aims to avenge last season’s downbeat showing. Phelps, a freshman-turned-senior returner, sparked Kentucky with a 40-yard punt return that helped rout Georgia 2 1 2 to 0. Clinard’s kicking and punting provide key margins for Vanderbilt as Georgia Tech and Alabama-Tennessee loom in SEC play.
