Cyrus Wells 40, an employee of Seaborn Candy Co., died instantly when his small truck crashed into an embankment on the Ozark and Blue Springs highway near Ozark as poor visibility looming at nightfall caused the accident. He moved to Dothan six months ago and is survived by his widow, a son Cyrus Jr., a daughter Nadine, two brothers, two sisters, and was buried in Ozark.

Boy Sells Nonowned Property In Pomona Swindle Case

A 17-year-old Edgar Peterson of China is accused of selling a Pomona wrecking firm’s clubhouse and two other buildings for 356 cars he did not own. Wrecker F. J. Bixler and brother were arrested for trespass after Peterson, claiming his family left the property, sold it to them. Peterson was arrested in Phoenix and returned to Los Angeles for juvenile court.

Atlanta November 24 AP A Roosevelt executive order urged banks nationwide to cash Civil Works Administration payroll checks at par for more than one million workers. The order, issued at Warm Springs, directed banks to honor checks with proper identification to prevent delay in paying CWA employees their first week's wages.

McClure, 70 Co Defendants Convicted in Prohibition Conspiracy

Federal court in Philadelphia found State Senator John J. McClure and 70 co defendants guilty of conspiracy to violate national prohibition laws. The defendants included Eugene F. Wife Named As Slayer In Strange Meridian Murder

Mrs. Nettle Calhoun Robineer, 35, was named the pistol wielder in the Meridian Nevada killing of her husband Dorbo L Stobinson, a physician. County officials said the shooting at the dinner table last Monday was in defense of herself and children and no prosecution was planned. Atty.
