Col. Charles B. Stewart reported Napier Field has halved its military personnel since inactivation began on November 1. About 60 planes remain, to be moved. 300 planes have already been sent elsewhere. Civilian hires are wrapping up as helicopters phase in. Napier was ordered temporarily inactivated and not retained in postwar planning by Gen. Hap Arnold.
A soldier stationed at Camp Rucker was injured in a Jeep crash about 17 miles south of Dothan near the Alabama-Florida line. Technician Pitt Grade Robert P Holsinger was hospitalized at Camp Rucker with unspecified injuries. Authorities provided limited details on the accident and his condition.

Mrs. Cathrine Collins, clerk of Houston County Selective Service board Number One, today reported one delinquent registrant. The individual is John Lee Williams, who listed Box 30 Malvern Ohio as his last address.
