Unbound of flesh and submergence at the Jong hall

Miss Evelyn Denson, daughter of Mr and Mrs H G Denson, a student at Alabama College, spent the weekend at home. Miss Frances Eapy, daughter of Mr and Mrs T M Eapy, was recently entered to the Poetry Club at Agnes Scott college. Only six members were received, and Miss Eapy was one of the two freshmen admitted. The titles of her poems are Autumn Leaves Mist and Run Away. New Century Club to meet Tuesday. Miss Melone will host at her home at 3 pm. Business and Professional Women's Club postponed to the twenty fourth. Rivanians sponsor free dance at the Country Club tonight in honor of Kiwanis visitors, with Moll orchestra from Troy. Mrs. George W. Smith of Marianna entertained with a dinner party for sisters and visitors, including Miss Catherine Argo of Jasper and Henry Roper and Bill Morgan of Birmingham. Joyce Newton celebrated a birthday with a party on South St Andrews Street. many guests and a prize drawing.

Catherine Argo of Jasper was lauded at a bridge party hosted by Mrs. J P Shealy honoring her as the week end guest of Miss Bronceg Stapleton. Edith Holman won high score. Argo received a remembrance gift. A varied bouquet decor and tea refreshments accompanied the event with several guests present.

Local marriage licenses issued amid names withheld

Four marriage licensees were issued Saturday in the judge's office with three couples requesting anonymity. Among those listed were Carson Glider, 21, of Hestland and Pauline Croley, 15, of Headland. Guests at a Bruner family gathering included Mr and Mrs Ramner Ellis and late son. other attendees were Ed Edmonds and Mies Cathryn Dowling visiting relatives. W. M. Ray and Judge Armour were Auburn visitors.
