Bank Robbers Trigger Two-Hour Terror in Lovington
Five gunmen robbed the Hardward State bank in Lovington Illinois early today forcing the night watchman and cashier to cooperate. They kidnapped Homer White and his wife, bound a telephone operator, wrecked the local exchange, and escaped with four hundred dollars after forcing White to open the vault before the time lock could be used.

Police official admits plotting bank robbery in Illinois
Assistant Chief Clarence Goss of Streator signed a statement admitting that with Patrolman George Kmetz and four other men he plotted the $52,000 Union National Bank hold up in Streator eight days prior.
