State Income Tax Examiner Ends Last Minute Rush
A line formed outside the courthouse office of State Income Tax Examiner Claude T. Cotton as he worked until seven o'clock Friday night to help filing returns. The March 15 deadline loomed while Cotton offered aid on federal forms too. He noted a general assembly of examiners in Montgomery from Monday to Wednesday for field instruction, and he would be away from Dothan until after the conference. The article also mentions that ancient Rome used milk from sheep and goats for drinking and cheese.
