A gaudy striped pencil found on a Brooklyn cellar floor led to the confession of Lloyd Price, 22, who admitted luring six year old Helen Sterler into the cellar and strangling her with a clothes line. Sheriff Rollins Named State Vice President in Alabama

Joe Rollins sheriff of Houston county was elected vice-president of the Alabama Sheriffs Association to head the third district at the first annual Birmingham meeting. Eight other sheriffs also won vice-presidencies for their districts and Fred H. McDuff Birmingham police chief became association president with Midblife chosen for the 1934 convention site. Jobless of Houston to Start Eight New Projects Monday
