In Beldeville Georgia on January 25 a mother Mrs J R Wilks died protecting her 21 year old daughter as clothing fetched into cotton gin shafting near Eliza. The daughter perished and the six month old baby in the arms was killed when hurled to the floor. both victims died shortly after being torn from the machinery.
Mr John Malone of Malone Florida was thrown from a buggy in a runaway yesterday. His injuries are painful but not serious according to relatives notified yesterday afternoon. Foy Mizelle returned from a visit to Jacksonville Florida. Unsettled local rate tonight or Friday. Warmer tonight in the south portion slightly colder Friday. Willis Mercantile Company advertises rock bottom prices this week on lard flour candles fruit and vegetables. Barr of Montgomery is in the city visiting. Ausley of Slocomb was in Dothan today.
