Four year old John Turner of Christchurch New Zealand returned home after a month long journey by Pan American World Airways to Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr Chevalier Jackson performed the delicate bronchoscope operation that removed a half inch screw lodged in his lung for two years during the trip.

Fireproofing Cotton and Wool Fabrics Shows Promise

Philadelphia reports that cotton fabrics can be made mildew resistant by fire resistant treatment.
