Enthusiastic members of the Commercial Club plan a fundraiser to raise 2500. The financial department leads a drive to boost publicity and fulfill duties, noting a lull in cash appeals and a pledge to go after funds promptly.
Miss Annie Johnson hosted a Valentine party at her West Maie street home with decorated rooms, cheerful punch, and a domino game. Lawrence T. L. Copeland of this city married Miss Nel Me Rhodes of Moultrie Georgia in a Sunday afternoon ceremony at the bride’s home conducted by Rev. J. M. Glenn of the local Methodist church. Only a few friends and relatives attended. The couple will stay in the city for a time after arriving yesterday.
A National Biscuit Company representative will demonstrate Iner-Seal products at Assery Grocery in Dothan Friday. Cakes and crackers from the company will be offered to visitors as the event promotes the goods. Elite motion picture shows accompany the program, inviting attendees to join.
On Friday night February 24 Rev W M Anderson of Birmingham former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dothan will deliver a lecture at the Baptist church. His subject will be Funny Falke. He is a platform speaker and preacher with many friends in Dothan who will attend.
