Dr Christian Deetjen, a Baltimore roentgenologist and early X-ray pioneer, had his left arm removed after overexposure. He rejects martyrdom, notes he might have avoided the field had he known the risks, and contemplates a hiatus from X-ray work.
The Flint River rises from a terminal spring and runs to the Gulf of Mexico. A second spring near the area feeds Peachtree Creek which joins the Chat tahoochee river and empties into the Gulf. These springs and streams define regional drainage toward the sea.
