A new Boy Scout troop is organized for Gantt and surrounding communities per Sean Gilchrist Karnam of the Troop Committee. Weekly meetings will be held at the school building with Lone Scouts applying for membership and under the Choctawatchee area council. Scout Executive W. L. Roads out of Dothan are in excellent shape with most routes open to travel. The Highway Department reports the Dothan to Montgomery route is open via Brundidge Troy and Snowdoun with a detour south of Dothan. Several connecting roads to Hartford Ashford Headland and Ensterprise are in good condition despite some detours and ongoing construction along the network.
