Negroes Released On Bond In Various Charges

Frank Thornton, an African American man, was released on bond after being arrested for retailing alcoholic beverages without a license or permit from the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control board, according to Police Chief Eddie D. Kelley. John Dallarson and Willie Boom, also African American, were released on bond on petty larceny charges as per police records.

Slocomb Negroes Hurt in Local Auto Crash

Two Slocomb men Mose Haddley and Bill Haddley suffered broken legs and rest comfortably at a local hospital after an automobile collision Tuesday. Jim Evans of Dothan and Alto Hawkins, both injured, rode in a pickup driven by Ernest Casey of Slocom. Attempt on motorist near Dothan Webb highway
