Washington April 13 AP The Bankhead cotton control bill to limit 1934 crop sales to 10,000,000 bales and align with the House measure has Senate and House conferees backing it. Senator Bankhead says he will call the bill up by Monday, with expected quick approval. The draft sets a one year limit, extendable by President with two thirds farmer support. A 50 percent tax on cotton above the quota applies at sale. Penal provisions are maintained. State and county quotas will be set by the Agriculture Secretary based on five year average output. individual farmer allotments follow county committee rules. The House kept a minimum tax of five cents per pound.
