Negro Convicted Of Warren Death To Get New Trial

Alabama Supreme Court granted Wash Paramore a new trial in the 1941 Warren murder case after ruling that a confession obtained by aggressive measures was involuntary and violated due process. Paramore, known as Paramore, was convicted in Houston Circuit Court in 1842 and sentenced to life. He was arrested after a private investigation led by Sid Howell and a Georgia sheriff, with Howell facilitating the transfer from Donalsonville to the court. The ruling absolves the earlier conviction and orders a new hearing.
