In Huntsville Texas on April 9 AP reports Raymond Hamilton once Clyde Barrow’s lieutenant faced death by electric chair on May 10 amid a dramatic farewell address to the court. He warned of return after death and attacked Judge Dean District Attorney Rogers and prison official Lee Simmons. Hamilton and fellow inmate Joe Palmer were set for execution in the early hours, following their joint escape from death row last July.

Licenses Ruling Says Chocolate Milk Bottlers Safe

Attorney General Albert Carmichael ruled that milk bottles with added chocolate syrup are not liable for bottlers or wholesale soft drink licenses. The opinion, sent to W. W. Ramsby, notes a Montgomery ice cream company sold chocolate milk in half pint bottles to schools and fruit stands.
