Tornadoes devastate Raleigh and eastern North Carolina
A sequence of tornadoes across North Carolina killed at least five people and injured over 150. Starting near Raleigh at about 1 a.m., the storms blasted a 200 mile path from Raleigh to the Outer Banks, destroying homes, businesses, and vehicles, tossing yachts and trucks, and trapping residents.
