Oregon City council reassigns duties and approves measures
Oregon City Council passed three ordinances Monday night transferring duties from the Water and Sewer Department to Streets and Public Improvements. Real estate supervision moved to Public Health and Safety. Streets Commissioner Jim Lauer named ex-officio water and sewer superintendent. County official Crenshaw criticized the changes as political. The council also advertised bids to sell 404 S 10th St and appointed Paul Deuth and Ed McCanse to the Planning Commission. A liquor license was granted to Gerald Pontnack for Gerald P's Lounge. William Jenks hired to appraise property near the sewer plant.
