Oregon High considers dropping required PE for graduation
Oregon High School may make physical education optional for graduation after this year pending board approval by March. A survey of sophomores and juniors showed strong support, though PE teachers oppose. If approved, students must substitute PE with an extra academic course or extracurricular activity. The district plans a full-time Jefferson Elementary principal search and uses savings from cooperative funding restructuring for the salary.
