California quake rattles region with no injuries reported

Fire destroys trailer at 601 Kuel Road
Firefighters battled a trailer blaze for nearly four hours Thursday evening at 601 Kuel Road. The cause is undetermined and under investigation by the State Fire Marshall. Occupant Raymond Yeager was away. Dixon Rural Fire Chief Ed Voss says several departments responded and the trailer is a total loss.

Reagan statue arrives Monday in Dixon park
A nine foot bronze Ronald Reagan statue funded by ADM executive Dwayne Andreas will be erected in a new Dixon park near the Reagan Boyhood Home. The gift honors Reagan with a dedication anticipated to include the Reagans. statue arrives between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Youths Unleash Pit Bulls at Philadelphia School
Five students mauled at noon recess at St. Edwards School as two pit bulls charged into a yard crowded with about 150 children. Three boys, aged 11 to 14, allegedly commanded the dogs with threats. Police and SPCA searched for the dogs and suspects while parish officials arranged counseling and awaited police findings on whether the attack was intentional or accidental.
