His wife was injured, and his son Judge M H Iversen died May first in Ukiah. He was 84, born in Denmark, a 61-year California resident. Funeral held in Point Arena last Thursday. Fire Claims Unknown Tramp in Calpella Packing Shed
A late Friday morning blaze destroyed the old Pioneer Packing shed at Calpella killing an unnamed tramp later identified as W. M. Osborne. He died Wednesday night at the county hospital after being unable to be questioned and was about 60 years old. The fire also destroyed two cattle cars. the shed had housed an office in a partitioned corner. The shed, once owned by Pioneer Packing, was leased to Salvatore Fusco of San Francisco for grape shipments. Virden Packing had been negotiating to buy the shed, and Geoffrey Bell previously leased it in 1934. The victim was buried Thursday by Eversole Mortuary after death at the county hospital.
