Not a Just Edict Criticism of WPA relief limits
Criticism grows over a national WPA rule that bars able bodied unemployed from projects if not on relief between May 1 and October 21. Communities seek waivers to ease local hardship, arguing many counties have WPA jobs ready for those who found private work unavailable. In Sonoma County the board of supervisors urged rescission to allow non relief workers to enroll.
