A special Roosevelt club meeting led by president A G Gruwell arranged to host Hon Joseph Dixon in Dillon next Wednesday. A twelve member reception committee chaired by J E Morse was formed, the Dillon brass band engaged, and Dixon will speak at the theatre at 8 30 pm on major political topics. Six committees will rotate entertaining duties at the club through the campaign end, with Sunday evenings closed.

A Dillon creamery stockholders meeting at the courthouse resulted in incorporation for 10000 dollars with a 5500 dollar building cost and 100 dollar site price. Trustees elected were G. T. Paul, Theodore Nelson, T. M. Selway, E. H. Brundage and Nels Salmonson. Additional stock to fund water and drainage work was authorized. officers chosen were Theodore Nelson president T. M. Selway vice president B. N. Stevenson secretary and E. H. Brundage treasurer.

Strange mineral brought to Dillon by Francis Johnston
Francis Johnston brought samples of a rock formation found near Dillon to expert mineralogist Thomas Landers. Landers cannot identify the mineral, but suspects aluminum content from its light color and specific gravity. The soft material can be powdered easily and polishes glass or metal without scratching fine jewelry. A sample measures 39134x4 inches and weighs 14 pounds. The deposit is reportedly near Dillon, forty feet wide with unknown depth and about a mile long. Samples have been sent to the Smithsonian Institution for analysis.
