Irvin Rich, son of Josephus Rich, was killed about 9:30 PM in Livingston when a locomotive backing on a track struck him as he walked through railroad yards on an errand for the Northern Pacific store keeper. The inquest is set for this afternoon. funeral plans are not yet announced. Rich, born February 29, 1884 near Missoula, had lived in the area most of his life and was well liked.

Pioneer Edwin Coffin Dies in Dillon After Long Life
Edwin Coffin a Beaverhead county resident died at his son in law James Kirkpatrick's Dillon home Saturday morning at 9 30 due to bowel and kidney troubles. He was born October 17 1824 in Paoli Indiana and after a life spanning Indiana Minnesota California and Montana settled in Beaverhead in 1879. Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist church with several local pastors officiating and interment at Mountain View cemetery. He left a large family including W F Coffin of Minneapolis and T E Coffin among others.
