Pioneer Woman Jane Seyler Dies in Twin Bridges
Jane Seyler prominent pioneer woman and native Montanan died suddenly at her daughter Mrs. T J Lane in Twin Bridges. She was born in Deer Lodge and helped homestead near Twin Bridges with husband who died in 1908. Survived by five sons a daughter sisters and many grandchildren.

A small dog at Elkhorn Springs went mad on Sunday afternoon. The owner caught it and, after moving away from camp, shot the animal. Officials note it is unusual for a dog to go mad in this climate.

Aged Ranch Hand Frank Tate Dies at 63
Frank Tate of Beaverhead County ranch and herd life died Monday at Beaverhead County Farm Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Erie County Pennsylvania he moved west about 30 years ago and settled in this section around 1915.

County Farm in Beaverhead Produces Record Year
Beaverhead county reports a record year at the county farm north of the city under James O. Melton with 1930 crops totaling 92 tons of hay 641 bushels of oats 267 bushels of barley and 275 sacks of potatoes plus abundant garden crops. Livestock on July 1 included 21 registered cows two grade cows 23 dairy stock and 10 work horses. Annual milking yields 40 pounds milk and 2.5 pounds butterfat per cow. Seven cattle were slaughtered in the first half of the year and 100 to 300 chickens are raised annually. The 133 acre farm allocates 103 cultivated acres for hay and grains one and a half for gardening and 28% for buildings and pasturage.
