Season's Champion To Be Determined Next Sunday

The third match of the golf tournament will be played Sunday afternoon November 2 between Dr. W H Stephan Eugene Bond and Lawrence Price for the 1924 championship. Appendicitis Claims Life Of Holden Lad

William Harrison Holden six year old son of Mr and Mrs Norman Holden of the valley ranching family died Wednesday evening at Barrett hospital from complications of an acute attack of appendicitis. Born in Dillon he was the youngest child, just entered school, described as bright and lovable. He leaves several brothers and sisters. Funeral was held at St James Episcopal church with Rev T W Bennett officiating. interment in Mountain View cemetery.

Judge Erickson Speaks at Democratic Meeting

A large crowd gathered at City Hall last Friday to hear Judge J. E. Erickson outline state issues. The Democratic candidate for governor impressed Beaverhead County voters but failed to sway Dixon supporters. Accompanied by Frank Cooney, John M. Evans, John M. Kay, and L. E. Choquette, the group offered brief remarks.

Official Canvass of Votes Set for Next Thursday

The board of county commissioners will meet Thursday morning November 6 to make the official count of election returns. All precinct officials must bring ballots to the clerk and recorder’s office on Wednesday. Mrs Edna Barton and Mr and Mrs Lumpkin and children of Madison county visited Dillon friends Wednesday.

Armistice Day Observance Planned by Beaverhead Legion

Beaverhead Post No. 20 American Legion will host Armistice Day events on November 11 in Dillon.
