Veteran Elza Murray, Beaverhead Pioneer, Dies
Elza Murray, a long time Beaverhead County resident born 1843 in Ashland Ohio, died last Friday at his sister in law’s home on Kentucky Avenue. He lived in Montana since 1865 after goldfield work at Bannack Glendale and later ranching ventures. Survived by a sister in Iowa two nephews and a sister in law Mrs J P Murray. Funeral Monday at the Masonic temple with Rev Edward Smith officiating. Interment Mountain View cemetery.

Gleed Pool Hall Robbery Scene on South Montana Street
Henry Gleed's pool hall on South Montana street was broken into after midnight Tuesday through a rear window. Thief left most merchandise and a large safe untouched, taking only $20 from a cash register. Police believe a single man acted, but no arrest warrant or solid clue emerged after interviews.

Normal Eleven Triumphs Over Ricks at Rexburg
The Normal college football eleven defeated Ricks College 6 to 0 in Rexburg Idaho last Saturday. Evans ran 80 yards for the lone touchdown after a Johnson pass, with missed kick leaving the score. Standout players were Selway Jahr Murray McDonald and McMasters as the team, despite fumbles and weak receiving, posted its first win of the season and eyes one more game with the high school.

Three pairs of county jail inmates pleaded guilty before Judge Joseph C. Smith and drew penitentiary terms. John Nesbit and Dosie Tritt admitted knocking down Dan Mooney and robbing him. each to two to four years. Henry Calvert and John Davie got one to two years for horse stealing. Alex Rodela and Corelia Pagan, Mexicans, received one to two years for housebreaking related to the Redrock section house robbery.
