County commissioners appointed judges of election for 21 precincts. Polling places remain as before with postable changes if needed. Open times differ by precinct size under a new law: under 100 voters start at 1 pm, larger precincts at 8 am.
Republicans Open Headquarters in Beaverhead County
The Beaverhead county republican central headquarters opened last week in Rooms 17 and 18 in the White Block where campaign work is now conducted. Chairman Sam Ditty announced a large stock of campaign literature available to visitors. Mr and Mrs Louis Stahl returned from Idaho Falls praising the air conditioned trains.

Ducks Scare and Hit Ceiling on Opening Day
Dillon hunters opened the annual barrage on ducks last Saturday morning but returned with lighter bags than in years past. Birds flew so high after the hour set for going over the top that an anti aircraft gun would have trouble reaching them. Still, many city tables enjoyed the first roast duck of the season, as the lucky few shared generously with friends.
