More County Roads If Bill 15 Passed

The Montana Automobile Association explains how Initiative Good Roads Bill Number 31 would affect county roads if approved on November 2. A county with 50 miles of Federal highway to build could receive about 400 600 dollars in value from a new one cent gas tax and Federal aid, while losing up to 136 000 dollars in gas tax revenue over ten years. The state would build and maintain the Federal road, freeing county funds to expand feeder and lateral roads, boosting mileage and overall maintenance funds for other roads.
