Mrs. C. E. Morse Answers Final Sumn To Beaverhead Resident
Mrs. C E Morse longtime Beaverhead County resident died Friday night from a stroke suffered after midnight Thursday. Born April 5 1855 in Illinois she moved to Dillon in 1884 with O F Morse furniture businessman. Survived by grandsons Morse and Lansing Waldorf a nephew Howard Morse a niece Mrs T E Gilbert Willard File and other relatives. Funeral conducted by Rev Edward Smith at Mountain View Cemetery with many friends in attendance.

Pheasant decline worries Dillon club after importations
Two years after Dillon Sportsmen's Association imported Hungarian pheasants north of the city the birds fell from about sixty to few remain. Club members suspect local boys with .22 rifles, not adults, are the culprits. Parents are warned of a 25 dollar fine per bird killed and possible jail.

New Water System Completed in City
The city reports a recently completed water system with new mains and an intake pipe in service. Creosote taste and odor troubled users briefly but overall service is satisfactory and pressure can be isolated by sectional valves in case of fire. One street still uses old wooden pipes slated for iron replacement next spring.

Murder Suspect Arrested After Dur ant Death
Sheriff Mooney and Officer Bourquin arrested a man at a local hotel who gave the name R. Holton. He matches a description from Butte in the case of Frank Melvin, a Milwaukee railroad trackwalker found shot in his cabin near Dillon. Holton says he was near the scene but knows nothing of the murder.
